More site updates :)

Currently working on installing the affiliate program. I also am working on a really cool rewards system that will automatically keep track of points earned…it is installed but I am working with the programmer to get it fully functional. I absolutely love this feature and can tell it is going to be soooooooooo much easier than the current system I have in place (good ol’ spreadsheet…too much room for operator error there lol). I am so excited about that

I also really love the gift certificate feature on this new site. It really rocks! You, the customer, will be able to send the certificates right from the cart. You’ll also be able to buy a gift certificate and leave it on your account, which you could use kind of like a bank to save up for that big kit you’ve had your eye on It will also allow you to send part of the total to one recipient and part to another (ie: a $20 gift certificate could be split into 2 $10 gift certificates with 2 separate recipients).

I have almost all of the products uploaded except for the sample sizes, refills, brushes, color kits, starter kits and the ginormous task of eyeshadows. I’ve decided to take all new pics of the eyeshadows and possibly some of the other minerals. I have new brushes coming in for the kits since one of the brushes I have been selling has been discontinued (the silver kabuki), so they will need new pics as well. I found some cute little bags to use as gift set packaging, and those will be a separate “gift kit”.

I have also been in the studio working on some new shades, plus some other new products that I’m not quite ready to talk about yet. I still have to work on the lip and eye pencils as well…I have my method down but labeling is going to be a whole ‘nother challenge in itself. So far, the pencils are doing well in the testing stage though.

I should be back at the end of the week with another update on what I am working on. I am hoping to officially open before July 1st, but want to be sure that all of the kinks are worked out of the cart. I am also thinking of doing a sneak preview for my newsletter list, so if you would like to get in on that, stop by the website and sign up!
